Vernona school district v. Acton 1995

My Case is about a 7th grader that enters the vernona school district in Oregan. The school has random drug testes for athletes. acton entered the school and his parents would not sign the papers saying they could do drug tests so he could not play sports. His family took this took court saying they could not do drug testes but they lost. I feel strongy about this because i am an athlete and I feel that drugs are very bad and should be taken by noone and especially not athletes because they have a higher risk of getting hurt.

Pros and Cons of being Gifted

Being gifted is good in many ways. For example you are smart, you can think above others,
you are unique, you see things in more than one way, you have more opportunities in the future, and recognition by others. Those are some advantages of being gifted

Some disadvantages of being gifted are, extra pressure, being made fun of, high expectations, being misunderstood, being too far ahead in class, singled out, different emotions, strong emotions, feel like we need to know everything and can't mess up ever, being bored, being labeled, too much stress, and never being able to have others know what we are going through and how to help us deal with it. Those are some disadvantages of being gifted.
