ROGATE review

ROGATE was my favorite class this year. I loved just knowing and being able to partake in the gifted and talented class. I really liked the 20% project because it gave alot of freedom. Maybe we can use blogging as a way to comunicate more. I wish i was continueing ROGATE but im going to a different school. I will miss all my friends in middle school.Over the summer im gona work out for football 5 hours everyday at the highschool.

Kick starter

Kick starter is a very unique website. It allows you to give money to help start someone’s project. If the project funds do not meet its goals then you get all your money back. Also you can get prizes from the makers depending on how much money you contribute. The projects are made of all sorts of things. They range from books to movies to food to clothing. All sorts of thing, I’m sure you could find countless things of your interest on there. In my opinion this is one of the most beneficial sites for both parties that I have ever seen. I truly believe you should check it out. Below are some projects I would like to fund.

Waste land documentery

I really enjoyed the waste land doctramentry.  At times I smiled and then at times I felt like crying. It seemed like the people had a really hard life at the begining but were happy because they were in a honest career. At the end though they wanted to do something more with their life. Vik helped the people of Jardim Gramacho by showing them that they can do something more with their organization and lives. He also helped them raise money to expand their organization. He also yet them be known across the world.

                I think doing a honest job is better than not doing anything. It gives you enough money to support your family and survive which is the most important thing in life. You may not be considering high class by people but you will have their respect for working hard and fallowing the law.

                It did make me think about how much garbage I produce and I do know I need to recycle more which I have started to do. I am happy that I am recycling and doing my part to help the world.

I think any type of society could be used in Vik's art. He used all different types of material that could make anything. The great thing about art is that it can show everything in anyway the creater wants, and it means different things for different people.

2012 winter youth oympics!

For the first time ever, young athletes gathered Jan. 13-22 in Austria for the Winter Youth Olympic Games. The event began with traditional opening ceremonies for more than 1,000 competitors from more than 70 nations. Ranging in age from 14 to 18, they competed in the 15 core events held at the Olympic Games. I think this is realy cool because it gives the opportunity for younger youth to be in the olympics. I think this would be super cool to purticapate in and represent my country.

Life in a day

This film was made by youtube. they had milloins of people tape little parts of their day anthen editors combined all of them to make a giant movie. The mom whith cancer was very memerable to me. It can relate to alot of people with family members going through health issues. I really enjoyed seeing the freeruning it looked really cool and exciting. I felt really bad though when i saw the young shoe shiner child that was very poor. He had to work hard for his family so they could survive and he was only 5. that part really spoke to me.

3 People from 2011 that i find influencing!

I find Dharma Master Cheng Yen very influencing. He teaches that everyone has the potential to over come the suffering of the world. He has millons of followers and is non profit. he teaches everything starts with good Kar. I also find Shuja Pasha inflencing. He is a general in pakistan. I dont find him nessasarily good but influntial to some of the people to pakistan and other anti-americans.
