Vernona school district v. Acton 1995

My Case is about a 7th grader that enters the vernona school district in Oregan. The school has random drug testes for athletes. acton entered the school and his parents would not sign the papers saying they could do drug tests so he could not play sports. His family took this took court saying they could not do drug testes but they lost. I feel strongy about this because i am an athlete and I feel that drugs are very bad and should be taken by noone and especially not athletes because they have a higher risk of getting hurt.

    I completely agree with you. Schools need to do that and it's important. Don't you think we should do that in our middle school? What with all of the reports of pot-heads in the school.

    That is a good point. Kids could be seriously hurt and since safety is so important we probably should be doing this in our school.
